Prices and payment in Ireland
Ireland uses the euro, and so does Socipro here. Every price you see on an Irish page is already in euro, the secure payment page shows the same total, and nothing is converted in between. The only variable left is your own bank: Socipro is a US company, and some issuers apply a fee to payments to merchants outside the euro area. If you want to know in advance, look at the fee table of your card.
You can pay by Visa, Mastercard or American Express, or by Apple Pay. Both start the order the moment the payment clears and the link check passes. Bank transfer is not offered, and neither is any local-only scheme.
If you pay with USDT cryptocurrency, the order is 4% cheaper. When an order cannot be delivered in full, the undelivered part is refunded: to your Socipro wallet for an account, to the original payment method for a guest. The refund policy explains the steps.
How people in Ireland use Socipro
A live-music pub or a trad session. A venue in Doolin, Dingle or Dublin films the Thursday night session, posts it as a Reel and wants the clip to start with views rather than zero. The owner orders Instagram views for the strongest clip, then watches saves and profile visits to see which tune or which night people respond to, and books more of that.
A maker selling at Christmas markets. A ceramicist or knitwear designer has a good product, a handful of followers and a stall in a city market from November. Before the first weekend she orders Instagram followers so a customer scanning her profile at the stall does not meet an empty page, and she keeps the posts coming. The aim is a fair first impression, not a crowd.
A student society or a new club. Colleges in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick fill up with new accounts every autumn, and clubs compete for the same freshers. A society runs a first TikTok views test on its welcome video, checks how many sign-ups followed, and decides whether to make a second one.
Social media in Ireland: what to know
DataReportal’s Digital 2026 report counts 4.26 million social media user identities in Ireland in October 2025, equal to 80.1% of a population of 5.32 million. That is a count of accounts, not of unique people, and the report notes that the total closely mirrors YouTube’s reach. The platform figures below are advertising reach, a measure of who an advertiser can reach, not monthly active users.
| Platform | Ad reach, late 2025 | Share of population |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube | 4.26 million | 80.1% |
| 2.60 million | 48.9% | |
| 2.60 million | 48.9% | |
| TikTok (age 18 and over) | 2.59 million | 62.6% of adults 18+ |
| Snapchat | 2.34 million | 44.0% |
| X | 1.55 million | 29.1% |
YouTube reaches the widest slice of the country, while X is a smaller, newsier audience, which matters if you plan a hashtag campaign there.
Language. English is the language of almost every post, but Irish is a living part of the feed. The 2022 census recorded almost 1.9 million people who said they could speak Irish, while about 72,000 used it daily outside school.
Time and posting windows. Ireland shares the UK clock: Greenwich Mean Time in winter, one hour ahead in summer. Clocks go back on October 25, 2026 and forward on March 28, 2027. For your first tests, try a weekday lunch hour, weekday evenings after dinner and Sunday evening, all in Irish time, and keep each slot for two weeks. Your own analytics should overrule any rule of thumb, including this one.
The calendar. Saint Patrick’s Festival runs from March 13 to 17, 2027, with the national parade in Dublin on March 17. Ireland play England at the Aviva Stadium on February 5, 2027 and France on March 13, 2027 in the Six Nations. Electric Picnic returns to Stradbally in late August 2027, and its tickets sold out within hours. Feeds crowd around those dates, so launch before or after them unless the event is your subject.
Rules to know before you promote a post
Irish advertising and consumer rules are joined up. The Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland (ASAI) and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) published joint guidance on influencer advertising in 2023. It applies to anyone who gets a commercial benefit for a post, whether money, free products, trips, affiliate links, discount codes or promoting their own brand.
The main label is #Ad, with #Fogra for posts in Irish. #Gifted, or #Féirín in Irish, is only for unsolicited items where the brand did not influence the post. Labels should be clear to a viewer before they engage with the post. Using the platform’s own paid-partnership tool counts as well. The guidance rests on the Consumer Protection Act 2007 and the ASAI Code, and the ASAI can publish upheld complaints, naming creators and brands.
Coimisiún na Meán, the media regulator, adds a platform layer. Its Online Safety Code, adopted in October 2024, expects video-sharing platforms to let uploaders declare commercial communications. Our country-by-country disclosure guide compares the rules across markets, and how it works shows how a Socipro order runs.
