Prices and payment in Kuwait
Every price on Socipro is shown in US dollars. The Kuwaiti dinar is not a checkout currency, so your bank converts the dollar total at its own rate and may add a foreign-transaction fee of its own.
KNET is not offered. If you normally pay online with a KNET debit card, use a card that carries the Visa or Mastercard logo, or use Apple Pay. Some Kuwaiti banks keep international online payments off until you enable them in the banking app; check that first if a payment is declined.
Orders start after the payment clears and the link check passes. Any undelivered part goes back to your Socipro wallet, as the refund policy explains.
How people in Kuwait use Socipro
A home kitchen posting its first week of orders. Many Kuwaiti food businesses start as an Instagram page run from a kitchen, with orders taken by message. The owner films the packing, the plated order and the delivery bag, then puts Instagram views behind the two clips that explain the menu best. The saves and the messages that follow tell them which dish to promote next.
A fashion label testing a drop. A small label planning a launch at the Avenues or a Salmiya pop-up posts a teaser a week ahead. It starts with Instagram followers so the page is not empty when buyers check it. The product and the photos still have to do the selling.
A gaming streamer trying a late-evening slot. Evenings after iftar in Ramadan and after dinner the rest of the year are natural times to test. The streamer opens each session with a small order of TikTok live viewers so newcomers find a room, then counts how many of the people they did not order stay to chat.
Social media in Kuwait: what to know
Usage is near-universal. DataReportal’s Digital 2026 report counts 5.00 million internet users in Kuwait in October 2025 (99.0 percent of the population) and 4.44 million social media user identities, equal to 87.9 percent of the population. Platform figures are advertising reach, not unique people.
| Platform | Ad reach, late 2025 | Share of population |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube | 3.31 million | 65.6% |
| 3.00 million | 59.4% | |
| Snapchat | 2.43 million | 48.2% |
| 2.45 million | 48.5% | |
| X | 1.42 million | 28.1% |
DataReportal also lists TikTok at 4.44 million adults, but warns the figure equals 112 percent of the adult population and may be implausible. Treat TikTok as large and growing, not as an exact count. X fell 10.1 percent over the year, which makes it a smaller, more specialized channel than Instagram or YouTube.
Time zone and week. Kuwait stays on Arabia Standard Time, UTC+3, all year with no daylight saving. The weekend is Friday and Saturday, and the working week runs Sunday to Thursday. Thursday evening works like a Friday eve, so test Thursday night and Saturday evening as posting windows against a normal weekday evening, and let your own analytics decide.
Calendar. National Day (25 February) and Liberation Day (26 February) fall on Thursday and Friday in 2027, and the government’s Hala February celebrations build up to them. Ramadan 2027 is projected to begin around 8 February, so both days should land inside the holy month; the real start depends on the moon sighting announced in Kuwait.
Rules to know before you promote a post
Kuwait’s Media Regulation Law, Decree-Law No. 102 of 2026, was published in the official gazette on 4 October 2026 and takes effect six months later, around April 2027. Press summaries say it brings influencers and paid advertisers under a Ministry of Information licence valid for two years, requires sponsored content, gifts and free trials to be clearly disclosed, bans misleading claims and requires a permit for online giveaways. Summaries also say personal accounts stay outside the law unless used for regular promotion or advertising.
Separately, Decree-Law No. 10 of 2026 on digital commerce requires people who sell online, including through social media, to register with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It takes effect one month after its implementing regulations appear. These are summaries of the law by third parties, and the executive regulations are still pending, so read the official text or ask a Kuwaiti lawyer before you publish an ad. Buying views or followers does not change which rules apply to you.
