Quick answers

  • Payment: Yes, cards with a Visa, Mastercard or American Express logo work, and so does Apple Pay.
  • Currency: You pay in US dollars; your bank converts to AUD and may add a fee.
  • Disclosure: Paid or gifted posts need a clear ‘Ad’ label under the AANA Code; ordering views does not change that.
  • Delivery: Not location-targeted, and you can order at any hour in any Australian time zone.

Prices and payment in Australia

Australian buyers see prices in US dollars. There’s no AUD price list; your card issuer converts the USD total at its own rate when the charge goes through, and some cards add an international transaction fee. If you order often, a card without that fee saves a little each time.

Card and Apple Pay confirm in seconds, which is what you want when an order is meant to start while you’re live.

The checkout total is final and includes any tax we are required to charge. If an order falls short, the undelivered part goes to your Socipro wallet as credit for any service. Premium includes a refill window where the service offers one. Read the refund policy for the fine print and how it works for what we verify before taking payment.

How people in Australia use Socipro

A surf and travel creator posting a summer series. Say you film a run of beach Reels over the Christmas holidays. Views on the first two episodes help them reach past your existing followers, and the saves and shares that follow tell you whether the series is worth continuing into autumn.

A Perth streamer who goes live after work. Going live at 7 p.m. in Perth means it’s 10 p.m. in Sydney during daylight saving, so the east-coast crowd is winding down. Ordering live viewers for the opening stretch gives early arrivals a room that feels open, and over a few weeks you see which start time holds people longest.

A Melbourne café launching a new menu. If you post the new menu as a Reel and a TikTok on the same morning, likes and views give both a fair first look. Judge the result by bookings and visits, and never use the numbers to tell customers you’re more popular than you are.

Social media in Australia: what to know

The table below comes from DataReportal’s Digital 2026 Australia report (November 2025). The numbers are ad-reach estimates from late 2025, which isn’t the same thing as monthly active users.

Platform Ad reach in Australia, late 2025 Share Yearly change
YouTube 21.0 million 77.7% of the population +0.5%
Instagram 15.2 million 56.0% of the population +8.6%
TikTok 10.9 million (18+) 51.2% of adults 18+ +13.9%
X 4.74 million 17.5% of the population −5.4%

Minimum age. Under the Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2024, any platform classed as age-restricted has to take reasonable steps to keep Australian under-16s from holding accounts, and a provider that fails faces civil penalties of up to 30,000 penalty units. If your audience used to skew young, expect your follower mix and watch-time patterns to look different from a year ago.

Ad labels. The AANA Code of Ethics, in effect since 1 February 2021, says advertising must be clearly distinguishable as such. Its practice note says that when an influencer accepts money or free products to promote a brand, the relationship must be clear, obvious and upfront. Complaints go to the Ad Standards Community Panel. Our disclosure rules guide compares this with other markets.

Posting windows. This season’s daylight saving runs from 4 October 2026 to 4 April 2027 across NSW, Victoria, SA, Tasmania and the ACT. Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory don’t change their clocks, so in summer Brisbane sits an hour behind Sydney and Perth three hours behind. A post at 6 p.m. in Sydney reaches Brisbane at 5 and Perth at 3, mid-afternoon. If your audience is national, test an eastern evening slot against a later one that catches Perth after work, and see our Australian posting schedule guide.

Australia FAQ

Payment, currency and the rules that apply in Australia.

Why are prices in US dollars, not AUD?

Socipro sets one price list in US dollars and doesn't run an AUD version that would drift with the exchange rate. Your card issuer converts the charge to Australian dollars when it goes through. Some Australian cards add an international transaction fee on top, so check your card terms if that fee bothers you.

Is GST added at checkout?

Nothing is added after you approve the total; any tax we must collect is already in the checkout figure. For your BAS or your accountant, ask support@socipro.com for a breakdown, quoting the order number, and we'll pass on what our records show.

Can my ABN business get a tax invoice?

Yes, on request. The confirmation email each order triggers shows the order number and the amount, and plenty of sole traders file that as their receipt. For an invoice in your business name with your ABN, write to support@socipro.com from your checkout address and give the order number. Guest orders qualify.

Can I order at night Australian time?

Yes. Nobody needs to be awake on our side: when the payment lands and your link is verified, delivery kicks off by itself, be it midday in Perth or 2 a.m. in Hobart. Support is by email at support@socipro.com. The company is registered in the US, so replies may arrive overnight your time.

Does the under-16 social media law affect my account?

Only if you are under 16. The Social Media Minimum Age Act requires age-restricted platforms to take reasonable steps to stop Australians under 16 from holding accounts, with civil penalties for platforms that don't. For adult creators it mostly changes who is in the audience, so check your insights if teenagers used to be a big share of your viewers.

How do I label a paid post in Australia?

Make the commercial relationship clear, obvious and upfront. The AANA Code of Ethics says advertising must be clearly distinguishable, and its practice note applies that to influencers who receive money or free products. A plain 'Ad' at the start of the caption or a platform paid-partnership label is the usual approach. Hiding it in hashtags at the end isn't.

Will my Commonwealth Bank or ANZ card work?

Yes, if the card shows a Visa, Mastercard or American Express logo, and Apple Pay works too. Most Australian bank and neo-bank debit cards carry one of those logos. A card that only works on the eftpos network does not. We charge in US dollars, and your bank decides whether a foreign-merchant fee applies.

Do I have to disclose a paid post if I order views?

Yes, if a brand paid or gifted you for it, and no for the views themselves. The AANA Code of Ethics requires advertising to be clearly distinguishable, and its practice note treats money or free products as the trigger. Ordering views changes nothing about that: put a clear 'Ad' or paid-partnership label at the start of the caption.

Can a registered Australian business place an order?

Yes. Sole traders, companies and agencies with an ABN order the same way as anyone else, with a public username or link and a card or Apple Pay. There is no business application. If your accountant needs a document in the business name, email support@socipro.com with the order number.

What time should I start an order in Australian time?

Start it once the post is public or the stream is running, not at a fixed hour. Sydney and Melbourne are on UTC+11 from 4 October 2026, Brisbane stays on UTC+10 and Perth on UTC+8, so 7 p.m. in Perth is 10 p.m. in Sydney. Pick the slot for the audience that matters most.
