The short answer

To join TikTok's Creator Rewards Program you need at least 10,000 followers, 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, a personal account in good standing, and to be 18 or older in a country where the program runs. Videos must be original, over one minute, and reach 1,000 qualified For You views.

Key facts

  • Account minimums: 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days (TikTok Help Center, checked October 9, 2026).
  • Creators must be at least 18, or 19 in South Korea, and use a Personal Account; Business Accounts are not eligible.
  • Each video must be at least one minute long and reach 1,000 qualified For You feed views before it earns.
  • Qualified views exclude paid, promoted, artificial and fraudulent views, and views under five seconds.
  • Payouts go out on the 15th of the month once your balance reaches $10 or the local equivalent.
  • TikTok's rules name acquiring fake views or inflating follower counts as grounds for removal from the program.

What are the requirements for TikTok Creator Rewards?

TikTok’s help center lists two sets of rules: one for the account, checked when you apply, and one for each video, checked before it earns. Here is the account side, as published on October 9, 2026.

Requirement What TikTok asks for Notes
Location Based in a country where the program runs TikTok publishes program terms for Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, the U.K. and the U.S.
Age 18 or older (19 in South Korea) Based on the birthdate on your account or confirmed when you apply
Account type Personal Account Business, political and government accounts can’t join
Followers At least 10,000 Counted when you apply
Video views At least 100,000 in the last 30 days A rolling window, so it can lapse
Standing No history of repeated or serious violations Includes fraud and the Terms of Service
Videos Original and at least one minute long Duets, Stitches and reuploads don’t count

You apply in the app: tap Profile, open the menu, choose TikTok Studio, then Creator Rewards Program.

Which of the two thresholds is harder?

For most creators it is the 100,000 views, not the 10,000 followers. Followers stay once you earn them. Views have to be earned again inside a rolling 30-day window, so a creator with a big following and a quiet month can drop out of eligibility.

That changes how you should plan. Steady posting matters more than one hit, because one hit ages out of the window in a month. It also means you should apply right after a strong stretch, not after a quiet one, since TikTok checks the numbers when you submit. If you’re asking how views turn into money once you’re in, our breakdown of what TikTok pays per 1,000 views covers the numbers that TikTok does and doesn’t publish.

Followers are the slower climb for newer accounts. You’ll see services offering to buy TikTok followers, including ours. Read the next section before you consider that anywhere near this program.

Can bought followers or views get you into Creator Rewards?

They can get you removed from it. TikTok’s program rules say that after you’re accepted you must not engage in “malicious or fraudulent activities, such as acquiring fake video views or inflating follower counts”. Breaking that rule leads to temporary or permanent removal, depending on how serious TikTok judges it.

The view side is closed off twice. Qualified views, the ones that pay, exclude paid views, promoted views, artificial views and fraudulent views by definition. So a bought view never counts toward your earnings.

TikTok’s wider Community Guidelines, effective September 24, 2026, also ban the trade of services that artificially boost engagement, and say TikTok removes fake followers and likes when it detects them.

We sell followers, so here is our plain position. A follower order is for a first impression on a new account, a launch, or a test. It is not a way to reach 10,000 for this program, and if Creator Rewards is your goal, don’t use one on the account you plan to apply with.

What makes a video eligible to earn?

Getting accepted is half of it. Each video then has to pass its own checks. TikTok’s list:

  1. Posted after you join. Older videos never earn, however well they do later.
  2. At least one minute long.
  3. Original. Filmed, designed and produced by you.
  4. 1,000 qualified For You views. The video starts earning once it crosses this line.
  5. No ads or paid promotion inside it. Sponsored videos and videos linked to a Series are excluded.

The “qualified” part has three rules of its own. A view only counts once per account per video. It must last longer than five seconds. Views from people who tapped “not interested” don’t count.

TikTok’s list of what isn’t original is specific, and it catches a lot of creators:

  • Duets and Stitches
  • Videos copied from others, especially with someone else’s watermark
  • Reuploads with small changes, such as speed, filters, fixed text or stickers
  • Compilations of other people’s clips without new ideas
  • Looping videos, photo slideshows, or text overlays alone
  • Lip syncs, or copyrighted music playing for over a minute (such videos risk being muted)

What happens during TikTok’s review?

Acceptance isn’t a one-time check. TikTok says it reviews account details and the videos you post under the program, both when you join and periodically afterward. That review can go three ways.

Outcome What it means What you can do
Account or video passes It can collect rewards Nothing, but it can still be removed later if reported or flagged
Video fails That video earns nothing, and rewards already counted on it are deducted Appeal from the video in the Creator Rewards dashboard within 30 days
Account fails You can’t collect rewards and TikTok tells you why Appeal from the dashboard or the inbox notice within 30 days

Two details are worth knowing. A video appeal doesn’t affect your account, so it is worth contesting a single video you believe was misjudged. And appeal reviews take about three days, the same as the original application.

Most rejections on TikTok’s list are avoidable: unoriginal or low-quality videos, spam, deceptive behavior, or “suspicious or unusual account activity”. TikTok doesn’t define that last one further, so the practical reading is simple: keep your account’s growth explainable by what you post.

How are Creator Rewards payouts calculated?

TikTok splits the money into two parts.

Standard Reward is qualified views multiplied by your RPM, the reward per 1,000 qualified views. TikTok says RPM depends on:

  • video performance (average watch time and finish rate)
  • search value (how much search traffic your videos bring in)
  • location (where you’re based and where viewers watch)
  • engagement (how many viewers interact)
  • advertising value (how long your viewers watch ads on TikTok)

Additional Reward is paid on top for videos TikTok judges well-crafted (1080p or higher, polished editing, over a minute), engaging and specialized, meaning focused on a clear topic or expertise.

TikTok doesn’t publish a fixed RPM, and it varies by country and audience. Any single figure you see quoted is someone’s own result, not a rate.

When and how do you get paid?

Rewards for a month are calculated the following month. If the balance is at least $10 USD or the local equivalent, TikTok pays on the 15th. Estimated rewards show on your dashboard about one to three days after the views come in, and the amount received on the 15th is the final figure.

Payment methods depend on where you live. As of October 2026, TikTok says PayPal is the only option for creators in the U.S., South Korea, Brazil, the U.K., France and Germany, while creators in Japan can choose Payoneer or a bank transfer. PayPal payouts usually arrive within 72 hours. Bank transfers can take up to 15 days.

What should you do while you’re still below the bar?

Work on the thing that is hardest to fake: watch time on videos over a minute. A few practical habits:

  • Post videos that already run past 60 seconds, so your audience gets used to the format before it pays.
  • Watch your finish rates and cut slow intros, since finish rate is one of the RPM factors TikTok lists.
  • Pick one topic you can keep covering, which helps with the “specialized” part of Additional Reward.
  • Go live once you’re eligible. Our guide to going live on TikTok covers the LIVE minimums, which are separate from this program.

Frequently asked questions

Do business accounts qualify for TikTok Creator Rewards?

No. TikTok says Business Accounts and accounts belonging to political or government organizations aren't eligible. You need a Personal Account with authentic details, such as your real name and date of birth. If you switched to a business account for shop tools, you would have to switch back before applying, and only videos posted after approval can earn.

How long does TikTok take to approve Creator Rewards?

About three days. TikTok says you'll receive a reply within approximately three days of applying through TikTok Studio. If you're turned down and believe you qualify, you can appeal within 30 days, or reapply 30 days after the appeal period ends. Appeal reviews also take about three days, and you're notified in your inbox.

Can I lose Creator Rewards after I'm accepted?

Yes. TikTok reviews accounts in the program on a rolling basis. Fraud, tampering with the reward or recommendation system, or inflating views and followers can get you removed temporarily or permanently. Rewards already collected on a video that's later removed are deducted from your balance, and you have 30 days to appeal any disqualification.

Do Stitches and Duets earn Creator Rewards?

No. TikTok's list of what isn't original under the program starts with Duet and Stitch videos. It also excludes reuploads, lightly edited copies, slideshows of photos, text-only videos, and lip syncs or copyrighted music playing for over a minute. Build your eligible videos from footage you film and edit yourself.
