Formula

Estimated Standard Reward = (qualified views ÷ 1,000) × RPM. Qualified views are unique For You feed views watched for more than 5 seconds, on eligible videos at least one minute long.

Updated October 10, 2026

## Where do you find your qualified views?

1. Open TikTok Studio and go to Creator Rewards Program. The dashboard lists qualified views for each eligible video.
2. Add up qualified views for the month, or for the month you expect, and type the total in.
3. If the dashboard shows your RPM, enter it. That is the most accurate rate you can use, because it already reflects your audience.
4. Leave RPM empty to see a low-to-high range based on what creators report.

If you aren’t in the program yet, enter a realistic share of your current views, not the full public count. Most public views won’t qualify, as the next section shows.

## How is the formula built?

TikTok splits Creator Rewards into a Standard Reward and an Additional Reward. The Standard Reward is the part you can estimate: qualified views multiplied by RPM, which TikTok defines as the average rewards per 1,000 qualified views. An eligible video starts collecting rewards once it reaches 1,000 qualified For You feed views.

**Example, with hypothetical numbers.** A creator posts eight eligible videos in a month. Their public view counts add up to 900,000, but the dashboard shows 520,000 qualified views.

| Input | Low (RPM $0.40) | High (RPM $1.00) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Qualified views | 520,000 | 520,000 |
| Thousands of qualified views | 520 | 520 |
| Estimated Standard Reward | $208 | $520 |

Had the creator typed in 900,000 public views, the estimate would overshoot by almost three quarters. That gap is the most common reason people feel underpaid.

## Which views count, and which don’t?

| View | Counts as qualified? |
| --- | --- |
| Unique For You feed view, watched more than 5 seconds | Yes |
| Second view by the same account | No, counted once |
| Watched 5 seconds or less | No |
| From Following, profile, search or shared links | No, not For You feed |
| From viewers who marked “not interested” | No |
| Paid, promoted, artificial or fraudulent | No |

The video itself must also qualify: original, at least one minute long, and posted after you were accepted. Duets, Stitches and lightly edited reuploads don’t count as original under the program.

## What moves your RPM?

TikTok names five factors: video performance (average watch time and finish rate), search value, location (where you are based and where the video is viewed), engagement, and advertising value. You control the first two most directly. A tutorial people keep finding through search can earn for months, while a trend clip peaks in days. Our guide to [TikTok pay per 1,000 views](https://socipro.com/blog/tiktok-pay-per-1000-views) walks through each factor, and the [Creator Rewards requirements](https://socipro.com/blog/tiktok-creator-rewards-requirements) guide covers getting accepted.

## Where do paid views fit?

Not in this calculator, and not on a Creator Rewards account. Bought views never count as qualified, and the program’s rules name fake views as grounds for removal. Where paid views can fit is outside the program: a brand page, an artist promoting a release, or a new account giving its first video a first push while it finds an audience. ## Questions about this tool

### Does this calculator include the Additional Reward?

No. It estimates the Standard Reward only, which TikTok calculates from qualified views and RPM. The Additional Reward is judged on whether a video is well-crafted, engaging and specialized, and TikTok publishes no formula for it. Treat any Additional Reward that shows up in your dashboard as extra on top of this estimate, not something to plan around.

### Why is my real payout lower than the estimate?

Usually because fewer of your views qualified than you assumed. Views from Following, your profile or search, repeat views, and anything under five seconds don't count. TikTok also notes that final amounts can change with payment processing fees and other adjustments. Your Creator Rewards dashboard in TikTok Studio shows qualified views and RPM per video, so use those figures.

### Do videos under one minute earn anything?

Not from Creator Rewards. TikTok requires eligible videos to be at least one minute long and posted after you join the program. Shorter videos can still earn through other tools, such as gifts from viewers or brand deals, and they help you reach the program's entry bar of 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.

### Can bought views be counted as qualified views?

No. TikTok's definition of qualified views excludes paid, promoted, fraudulent and artificial views. The program's rules also list acquiring fake video views and inflating follower counts as grounds for temporary or permanent removal. If you are in Creator Rewards or applying, keep any paid views away from that account entirely.

### When does TikTok pay Creator Rewards?

On the 15th of the month after the rewards were earned, once the payable amount reaches $10 or the local equivalent. As of October 2026, PayPal is the only payout method for creators in the US, UK, France, Germany, South Korea and Brazil. Estimated rewards appear in the dashboard about one to three days after views accrue.
